"With a younger team you love to have confidence and a chance to win five games in a row. It gives you a feeling that if you can go into a game and execute you have a chance to win the ballgame."

On the start of conference play:
"I think all coaches want a few more games before conference but I think it is an advantage to start conference against Texas on the road. The guys that haven't been a part of the program will get to see what Big 12 basketball is all about."
