The preseason practices, along with two exhibition games, will lead up to the Bears season opener against highly-regarded Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, in "We are extremely excited about the start of the 2004 season," head coach George Van Linder said. "We have a great combination of returning players and talented newcomers that will give us the opportunity to be a force in the Big 12 Conference this season." The Bears return 13 letter-winners from last year's 7-9-2 squad, including leading point-scorer and senior forward Ginny Rosario-Tull. In addition, the Bears return Tiffany Boshers, a junior defender who earned all-Big 12 Conference honors last season.
