The preseason practices, along with two exhibition games, will lead up to the Bears season opener against highly-regarded Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, in "We are extremely excited about the start of the 2004 season," head coach George Van Linder said. "We have a great combination of returning players and talented newcomers that will give us the opportunity to be a force in the Big 12 Conference this season."
