WACO, Texas - The Baylor track & field team earned five at-large bids in addition to its 10 automatic qualifiers for the 2004 NCAA Outdoor Championships the NCAA announced Tuesday.

Juniors Lakadron Ivery (Tyler, Texas) and Elizabeth Wilson (Duncanville, Texas) were selected in the 100 and 200 meters, respectively. Freshman Braelon Davis (Dallas, Texas), a member of the Bears' football team and son of legendary Baylor two-sport star Bruce Davis, was also selected in the 200 meters.

The women's 4x400-meter relay of sophomore Shanta Bibbs (San Antonio, Texas), Wilson, freshman Rena Napoleon (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and junior Danielle Myricks (Willingboro, N.J.) were also selected. Freshman Lauren Tillman (Lawrenceville, Ga.) will serve as the alternate.

The men's 4x100-meter relay of Davis, junior Darold Williamson (San Antonio, Texas), sophomore Jeremy Wariner (Grand Prairie, Texas) and sophomore Jamen Saziru (Waco, Texas) also were invited. Freshman Mark Teter (San Antonio, Texas) and junior Chris Gillis (Pennsauken, N.J.) will serve as alternates on the 4x100, while Teter and Saziru will be the alternates on the 4x400.

Ivery's availability due to the hamstring injury she suffered at the NCAA Midwest Regional on May 29 will be re-evaluated prior to the championship.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships will be held June 9-12 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
