WACO, Texas - The annual Baylor Lady Bear Appreciation Banquet, sponsored by the Tip Off Club, will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2004, 6:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center. The banquet is open to all fans who would like to purchase a ticket to attend.
In addition to showing appreciation to the players and coaches, it is the farewell banquet for the two seniors, Jessika Stratton and Dionne Brown, and the last event of the season sponsored by Tip Off Club.
Individual tickets are $18 and may be purchased through the Women's Basketball office (254-710-3947) or the Baylor Bear Foundation (254-710-8128). Tickets must be pruchased no later than April 15. Group tables and sponsor tables are also available. Please call either the women's basketball office or the Bear Foundation for more information.
The Lady Bears finished the season with a record of 26-9 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history. They finished the season ranked No. 15 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll.
