The Baylor football team began its third week of spring practice with a two-hour and 10-minute workout Monday evening in Floyd Casey Stadium. It was the eighth of 15 practices the Bears will conduct this spring, and the first of four straight this week.
"It was a good practice and the tempo was good," second-year coach Guy Morriss said. "It was enthusiastic and they were tagging some people out there.
"We are getting the kind of work we need to get done in the shorts and thigh boards," he added. "As long as they keep giving us that type of tempo, that's what we'll keep doing. Thursday, we'll put the long pants on and have a scrimmage again like we did last Saturday."
The Bears will practice at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before breaking for the Easter holiday weekend. BU will conclude spring practice with the annual Green-Gold Game on Saturday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium.
