Baylor Dr Pepper Invitational

Place: Hart-Patterson Track & Field Complex
The Baylor track & field team will host the Dr Pepper Invitational Saturday, March 20 at Hart-Patterson Track & Field Complex beginning with the field events at 9 a.m. and the running events starting at 12:30 p.m.
This is the Bears' first of nine meets during the outdoor season, which concludes with the NCAA Championships June 9-12 in Austin, Texas. Baylor will have one other home meet this season when it hosts the Michael Johnson Southwestern Bell Invitational April 16-17.

Indoor Wrap-Up
The Bears are coming off an outstanding weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark...Sophomore Jeremy Wariner captured the 400-meter title with an NCAA meet record time of 45.39, the fastest time in the world this year...The men's 4x400-meter relay squad of sophomore Jamen Saziru, Wariner, freshman Mark Teter and junior Darold Williamson also took gold with a collegiate record time of 3:03.96, also the fastest time in the world this year...Senior Kyle King (3,000 meters), junior April Holliness (long jump), senior Jordan Willmann (pentathlon) and junior Lakadron Ivery (60 meters) all earned All-American honors.
Returning Outdoor All-Americans
Junior Darold Williamson earned All-American honors outdoors last season in the 400 meters, while sophomores Jeremy Wariner and Jamen Saziru joined him on the All-American 4x400-meter relay team...Senior Jordan Willmann was an All-American heptathlete, finishing fifth at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The Bears return to action at the UTA Invitational Saturday, March 27 in Arlington, Texas.
