Box Score

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Tim Bush scored a career-high 23 points and Baylor benefited from a mental error in the closing seconds by Purdue's Brandon McKnight in a 73-72 victory on Thursday night.

Purdue's Bryant Dillon hit a 3-pointer with 4.1 seconds to play to tie the game at 72. But McKnight didn't realize the game was tied, and intentionally fouled Baylor's Aaron Bruce to stop the clock.

Bruce then made one of his two free throws with 2.4 seconds left to lift the Bears (6-3) to their fourth straight win.

Carl Landry scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Purdue (3-6).

Tommy Swanson scored eight of his 10 points in the second half, including a four-point play and a thunderous tip-dunk during an 11-3 run to give the Bears a 67-63 lead.

Dillon scored all five of his points in the final 15 seconds to tie the game, but McKnight's error gave it away.

The Bears closed the first half with a 12-1 run, including a rim-shaking dunk by Swanson and a 3-pointer at the buzzer by Kevis Shipman, to take a 33-31 lead at halftime.
