DALLAS, Texas - The Baylor men's basketball team visited the Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation Wednesday. Patients at one of the country's top treatment centers for brain trauma were able to hang out and talk to the Bears.

The men's basketball team, who are in Dallas to take on the SMU Mustangs tonight, said the experience was unbelievable.

Tommy Swanson, a junior forward from Fort Worth, said, "Seeing people in unfortunate situations, making the best out of it and being so optimistic, not being down ... it puts our lives into perspective. It makes me think of the great opportunities we have."

Richard Hurd and Hall Henderson tested their basketball skills against the Wheelchair Mavs, BIR's professional wheelchair basketball team. The freshmen played a short two-on-two game with the Mavs members.
