NEW YORK, NY - The Baylor women's basketball team is picked No. 8 in the 2004-05 Associated Press Preseason Top 25 as released on Monday evening. The ranking is Baylor's highest-ever preseason Associated Press listing, the Lady Bears were 13th in the 1976-77 preseason poll. Baylor broke out of the gate at No. 15 in 1977-78 and was 14th at the beginning of the 2001-02 season.
