WACO, Texas - For the first time in school history, Baylor appears on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. The Baylor women's basketball team appears in the magazine's top 10 and is listed on the cover of the Nov. 22 issue.
Sports Illustrated has Baylor ranked No. 7 in the issue that will hit the newsstands on Friday, Nov. 19. LSU, a team that the Lady Bears lost to 71-70 in their season opener, is at the top of SI's list. Rounding out the rest of the top 10, in order, are Tennessee, Texas, Connecticut, Georgia, Duke, Baylor, Ohio State, Minnesota and Notre Dame.
In addition, the Lady Bears are ranked No. 5 in ESPN - The Magazine top 8. LSU again tops this list followed by Connecticut, Texas, Tennessee, Baylor, Duke, Georgia and Minnesota.
Baylor, coming off a 26-9 record and an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance, received its highest preseason ranking in both the Associated Press' and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' polls. The Lady Bears checked in at No. 8 in both. Baylor has been listed among the top 10 in every preseason poll this season.
Under fifth-year head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson, Baylor has posted four consecutive 20-win seasons and averaged 24.5 victories a year. Under Mulkey-Robertson's watch, the Lady Bears have participated in three NCAA Tournaments and advanced to the finals of the WNIT.
Season ticket sales have hit an all-time high for the program. Sales have easily surpassed the previous high of 3,100 and officials are hoping to hit the 4,000 mark soon.

In addition, beginning on Monday, Nov. 29, the Ferrell Center Ticket Office will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until tip-off on game days.
