Women's Tennis' Zemenova Eliminated From WTA Event

Freshman Zuzana Zemenova lost her first round match in the qualifying draw of the WTA Challenge Bell Tournament in Quebec City, Canada. Zemenova, currently ranked No. 413 in the world rankings, qualified for the event by winning the WTA's Ballantrae Challenger in Birmingham, Ala., in mid-October. En route to the tournament championship in Alabama, Zemenova defeated several players with much higher world rankings.
The talented freshman from Kosice, Slovakia, lost to the USA's Jamea Jackson, ranked 190th in the world, 6-1, 6-4.
