Baylor Athletics and Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas are offering $2 off a regular reserved ticket to men's and women's basketball games. The special price will be given for a Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, 7-Up, or Big Red 12-ounce can. One can per ticket.

Baylor fans can purchase the discounted basketball tickets at the Floyd Casey Stadium or Ferrell Center ticket offices before each game. The promotion is good for the entire 2003-2004 season.

LADY BEARS VS. PACIFIC...
The Lady Bears come into the game with a 3-0 mark while the Pacific Tigers, out of Stockton, Calif., enter the contest at 0-2. This will be the fourth game of Baylor's four-game homestand before playing in the Gene Hackerman Rice Invitational in Houston, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 & 6. The Tigers, members of the Big West Conference, will be playing the first of four consecutive road games after dropping home games to Wisconsin-Bay (74-63) and Santa Clara (60-59).

RECEIVING VOTES...
In the latest Associated Press (AP) Poll, the Lady Bears received 20 votes, up from 14 the week before. The last time Baylor was listed in the AP Top 25 was at the end of the 2001-02 season when they were No. 7. Baylor received one vote in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.

THE LADY BEARS...
After two lopsided exhibition wins over the Houston Jaguars and the Perik Jumpers, the Lady Bears continued that trend with lopsided wins over SEC power Mississippi State (88-45), Southland Conference opponent Nicholls State (93-44) and Washington State (76-39) out of the Pac-10 Conference.

Three players are averaging in double figures for Baylor. With a career-high 27 points against Washington State, sophomore post Sophia Young moved into the lead for the Lady Bears in scoring and rebounding average. She is averaging 19.0 points and 9.7 rebounds an outing. Steffanie Blackmon, a junior post, ranks second in both categories with 16.7 points and 8.0 rebounds. Freshman forward Emily Niemann follows Young and Blackmon in both categories by averaging 12.3 points and 5.7 rebounds.

Baylor is outscoring their opponents by 43 points a game and are shooting .541 (99-183) on the season. The Lady Bears are holding their opponents to just 42.7 points a game and a .270 (48-178) shooting average.

THE COACHES...
Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson, in her fourth season, has a 75-26 head coaching record. Pacific will be the second Big West team the Lady Bears have faced during her tenure, she has a 1-0 record versus the Big West, defeating Nevada in Reno, 86-58 in the championship game of the Nevada Bell Classic.

Pacific's Craig Jackson is in his second season as the Tiger's head coach. In his first season at the program's helm, the team posted a 16-14 record, which earned the Tigers a tie for second place in the Big West. Jackson was an assistant coach at Pacific for five seasons prior to assuming the head coaching duties. He served as an assistant under current Washington State head coach Sherri Murrell, a team Baylor defeated on Saturday night.

BALANCED SCORING...
In Baylor's first two games, every Lady Bear scored in double figures in at least once. In fact, in both games only nine players were available to play and six players scored in double figures.

Nicholls State - S. Blackmon 18, Jones 15, Jackson 14, Young 13, Scott 11, Niemann 10.

Over their first three games, the Lady Bears are posting some pretty large margins.

In addition, the Lady Bears are shooting an impressive .541 (99-183) while limiting the opponent to a .270 (48-178) shooting percentage.

SCOUTING PACIFIC...
Pacific comes into the game with an 0-2 record. The Tigers, members of the Big West Conference, will be playing the first of four consecutive road games after dropping home games to Wisconsin-Bay (74-63) and Santa Clara (60-59).

The Tigers' starting lineup is a veteran one with four seniors and one freshman. In addition, they are taller than any team the Lady Bears have faced this season with a 6-6 center, a 6-3 forward, two guards at 5-10 and the point guard at 5-7.

Senior forward Gillian d'Hondt leads the team in both scoring and rebounding at 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds a game. Senior point guard Corinne Wong averages 10.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists a game and senior guard Nancy dinges checks in at 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.

THE SERIES RECORDS...
This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
