WACO, Texas - Baylor Athletics and Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas are offering $2 off a regular reserved ticket to men's and women's basketball games. The special price will be given for a Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, 7-Up, or Big Red 12-ounce can (one can per ticket).

Baylor fans can purchase the discounted basketball tickets at the Floyd Casey Stadium ticket office or at the Ferrell Center ticket office before each game. The promotion is good for the entire 2003-2004 season.

Brad Mayer, director of sales for Baylor Athletics, is excited about the discount for Baylor basketball fans.

"We (Baylor Athletics) have a long-standing relationship with Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas and appreciate their involvement in this promotion," Mayer said.

The men host Texas Southern in their first regular season home game Saturday at 8 p.m., which marks Baylor's new era with head coach Scott Drew.

Head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson leads the Lady Bears in their season opener Friday at 7 p.m. The Lady Bears take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
