The Lady Bears play their final exhibition game of the season when they face the Perik Jumpers on Monday, Nov. 17. Baylor defeated the Houston Jaguars 100-77 last week to remain perfect against the team of former collegians.

THE PERIK JUMPERS...
The Perik Jumpers, from The Netherlands, will be playing their eighth and final game of their U.S. tour when they take on the Lady Bears on Monday night. They are 0-7 versus collegiate teams this season.

The Jumpers' top three players on the tour have been Rhona McKenzie, Chelsea Grear and Julie Smulders. McKenzie, a 5-11 forward from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, leads the team in both scoring and rebounding with 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds a game. She has scored in double-digits in six of the team's seven games and has hauled down double-digit rebounds in four contests.

She is followed by Grear, a 5-11 center from Houston, who averages 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Smulders, a 5-9 guard from Langley, B.C., averages 10.4 points an outing.

THE LADY BEARS SHINE IN FIRST EXHIBITION...
Five Lady Bears, including two freshmen, scored in double figures in Baylor's exhibition win over the Houston Jaguars. Sophomore post Sophia Young led the Lady Bears with a 21-point, 13-rebound performance. Freshmen Emily Niemann and Monique Jones and junior Steffanie Blackmon each scored 14 and senior post Dionne Brown completed Baylor's double-digit scoring with 13 points. Junior guard Chelsea Whitaker dished out 11 assists while senior Jessika Stratton handed out seven assists. Baylor players pulled down an impressive 62 rebounds as well.

FRESHMEN IMPRESSIVE IN FIRST ACTION...
Baylor's two freshmen, Emily Niemann and Monique Jones, turned in impressive performances in their first court action for the Lady Bears. Nieman, a 6-1 forward who started the game, scored 14 points, hauled down seven rebounds and blocked three shots in 27 minutes of play. Also, she was 4-of-5 from 3-point range.

Jones, a 5-9 guard from Ferriday, La., came off the bench to pour in 14 points and haul down eight rebounds in her 22 minutes of court time. She also tallied an assist and a steal.
