WACO, Texas - Baylor's only player in the qualifiers of the Icy Hot/ITA Championships made it to the round of 32 before being defeated. Guillaume Bouvier of Boise State defeated Baylor's Ivor Lovrak 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.

Baylor's next match will be in the much-anticipated 64 singles, 32 doubles main draw of the championship. In the main draw 36 of the ITA ranked top 40 players will be going head-to-head for the top spot in the championship. Playing for Baylor will be Benedikt Dorsch the ITA No. 1 ranked player in the nation, and Benjamin Becker the ITA No. 17 ranked player.

The main draw singles and doubles will be held Oct. 9-12. Dorsch and Becker will be competing on Thursday, Oct. 9, against yet to be named opponents. Baylor's leading duo will them combine efforts as partners in the doubles portion of the main draw.
