WACO, Texas - Baylor juniors Benedikt Dorsch and Benjamin Becker will compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Michigan, Nov. 6-9. The tournament is the premier indoor collegiate tournament for Division I men and women and includes a 32 player men's singles field.
Last year, Baylor's Benedikt Dorsch was ranked No. 4 in the nation by the ITA and defeated the No. 3 player Amer Delic of Illinois to win the ITA National Indoor Championships. This year, Dorsch is the No. 1 ranked player in the nation and will try to defend his title.
Benjamin Becker is heading to the tournament hot off a singles championship in the ITA South Central Regional. In 2001, Becker advanced to the final match of the ITA indoor championships before being defeated by Harsh Mankad of Minnesota. Becker is currently ranked No. 17 in the nation.
