WACO, Texas - Two more players will join the Baylor Lady Bear basketball program when classes begin in the fall.
Junior college transfer Daphney Andre, a Kodak All-American, and freshman Abiola Wabara will enroll at Baylor beginning with the fall term. Andre, a 6-0 forward out of Miami, Fla., transfers from a Trinity Valley Community College team that won 60 games in her two seasons there. Andre averaged 13.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals her sophomore season. Wabara is a 6-0 freshman forward from Parma, Italy. She graduated from Liceo Scientifico Statale G. Marconi High School.
The duo brings the number of Lady Bear newcomers to seven for the 2002-03 season.
