WACO, Texas - Baylor senior Tamura Crawley was named to the 2002 Preseason All-Big 12 Soccer Team by the league's coaches, the conference announced Friday.

The honor was Crawley's third-straight Preseason All-Big 12 selection. The senior from Dallas, Texas, has earned all-Big 12 honors in each of her three seasons at Baylor as she has anchored the Bear defense.

Baylor was picked to finish tied for seventh in the Big 12 this season as the coaches compiled their annual preseason poll. After advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight a year ago, Texas A&M was picked to win the 2002 Big 12 title, followed by defending conference champion Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. The Bears were picked to tie with Colorado, while Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Texas Tech round out the standings.

Baylor begins the 2002 season by hosting the Baylor Labor Day Classic, Aug. 30 - Sept. 1. The Bears face Louisiana-Lafayette Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at Betty Lou Mays Field in the season opener, then square off against Mississippi State Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in the final game of the classic.
