WACO, Texas - Katja Kovac, competing in the singles portion of the round of 64 of the 2002 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships in Stanford, Calif., was winning her match against North Carolina's Kate Pinchbeck when rains forced matches to be halted.
Due to continued rain throughout the day, play will resume at 11 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday. Kovac had won the first set 6-3 and broke Pinchbeck's serve to take the first game of the second set before play was halted for the day. All matches will be picked up from where they were stopped on Monday.
