WACO, Texas - Baylor guard Sheila Lambert with join seven other potential first-rounders and host Matt Devlin in studio for the 2002 WNBA Draft on Friday, April 19 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The telecast will be originating from the NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, NJ. Devlin, an ESPN NCAA basketball play-by-play commentator, will be joined by ESPN women's basketball analysts Ann Meyers, Doris Burke and Vera Jones in an in-depth look and discussion about this year's talent in the WNBA Draft.
This will be the second broadcast of the event live on national television. Round one will air on ESPN2 and rounds one through four will be televised on NBA TV, the 24-hour television network of the NBA and WNBA.
Probable first-round selections scheduled to attend the broadcast are: Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Tamika Williams and Asjha Jones of the University of Connecticut, Stacey Dales of Oklahoma, Sheila Lambert of Baylor, Michelle Snow of Tennessee and Nikki Teasley of North Carolina.
Lambert finished her two-year Baylor career with 1,315 points, 398 assists and 195 steals. She was named a Kodak All-American, recipient of the Frances Naismith Pomeroy Award, AP All-American and two-time first-team All-Big 12.
Danielle Crockrom, according to many draft analysts, is a possible first-rounder also. She finished her four year Baylor career with 1,603 points and 999 rebounds.
