WACO, Texas - In a vote of the league's head coaches, Baylor's Sheila Lambert and Danielle Crockrom were named to the All-Big 12 first team it was announced by the conference office today.
Kansas State's Deb Patterson was named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year, and Oklahoma senior Stacey Dales was selected as Big 12 Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Lambert and Crockrom have led the Lady bears to a No. 8 national ranking and a 24-4 overall record. In addition, the Lady Bears finished second in the Big 12 with a best-ever 12-4 league record. Lambert ranked No., 2 in the league in scoring (19.9) and steals (3.11), No. 3 in assists (6.11) and No. 11 in field goal percentage (.495). In the Big 12 Crockrom is No. 3 in rebounding (9.2), No. 6 in scoring (17.7), No. 9 in field goal percentage (.504) and No. 10 in blocked shots(1.04). Lambert and Crockrom were named first-team All-Big 12 last season also.
