WACO, Texas - For the second straight year, Baylor's Sheila Lambert is a finalist for the Conseco Nancy Lieberman Step Up Award as the nation's top Division I point guard. She is one of 11 players listed as finalists.

Finalists and the eventual winner are chosen by AP sportswriters nationwide based on the player's floor leadership and play-making and ball-handling skills. The award will be presented on April 20 by the Rotary Club of Detroit.

The complete list of finalists include: Alana Beard, Duke, Sue Bird, Connecticut, Stacey Dales, Oklahoma, Sheila Lambert, Baylor, Kara Lawson, Tennessee, Brandi McCain, Florida, Ashley McElhiney, Vanderbilt, Tamara Moore, Wisconsin, Sara Nord, Louisville, Lindsey Whalen, Minnesota, Lindsey Wilson, Iowa State.

Lambert leads the Big 12 in scoring with 20.2 points a game and ranks No. 2 in the league in both assists and steals with 6.12 assists and 2.92 steals a game.
