COMING UP...
The Lady Bears will be playing in their fourth game in seven days when they visit Southeastern Louisiana on Monday, Dec. 2. Hammond, La., is Baylor's last stop on a seven-day road trip which included a trip to Bozeman, Mont.

MULKEY-ROBERTSON RETURNING TO ROOTS...
When Baylor plays in Hammond, La., on Mon., Dec. 2, Baylor head coach Kim-Mulkey Robertson will be returning to her old stomping grounds. Mulkey-Robertson grew up in the Hammond area (Tickfaw, La.) and attended Hammond High School. She led Hammond HS to four-straight state championships, posted a 136-5 record and finished her career with the national record (4,075) for most points scored. She earned all-district, all-state and all-American honors each of her four years there. She also graduated as her class' valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She has a street named after her in Tickfaw.

THE LADY BEARS...
Baylor visits Southeastern Louisiana hoping to get back on the winning track. They lost their first game of the season in the championship game of the GranTree Thanksgiving Classic, dropping a 75-66 decision to tourney host Montana State. The loss broke a 27-game regular season non-conference winning streak under third year head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson. The Lady Bears are now 4-1 on the season.

Sophomore post Steffanie Blackmon (Dallas/Rowlett HS) and freshman forward Sophia Young (St. Vincent, West Indies/Evangel Academy, Shreveport, La.) each earned all-tournament honors at the GranTree Thanksgiving Classic.

Steffanie Blackmon leads the Lady Bears in scoring with 20.6 points a game. Three others are averaging in double-digits as well. Sophia Young and sophomore post Melanie Hamerly (Orange, Texas/Little Cypress/Mauriceville HS) each averages 10.8 a game. Junior guard Jessika Stratton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Coronado HS) follows closely with 10.6 an outing.

Young, a freshman, is the Lady Bears' leading rebounder grabbing 9.2 a game. Steffanie Blackmon is close behind with 9.0 an outing.

Chelsea Whitaker (Dallas/Skyline HS) leads the squad in assists with 7.20 a game. Stratton ranks in second with 5.20 a contest.

THE OPPONENT...
SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA UNIVERSITY
The Lions are 1-1 on the season after posting a 76-58 victory over Loyola (New Orleans) in their season opener and a loss to in-state rival LSU 93-52. This will be the Lions' third straight home game.

Shanna Achord leads Southeastern Louisiana in scoring with 11.5 points a game. They are led in rebounding by Pam Mathews, a 6-0 junior forward, with 7.5 an outing.

THE COACHES
In just her third season as Baylor's head coach, Kim Mulkey-Robertson has led the Lady Bears to two straight NCAA Tournament appearances, a final national ranking of No. 7 last season and a second place finish in the highly-competitive Big 12 Conference. The 2000 inductee to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame has a career record of 52-16 in her two-plus seasons at Baylor.

Southeastern Louisiana University coach Lori Davis Jones, after a successful eight-year stint at Lambuth (Tenn.) University, is in her first season at her alma mater. While at Lambuth, Jones won 178 games, enjoyed seven straight 20-win seasons, four consecutive berths in the NAIA National Tournament and advancing to the Sweet 16 three times. Her 1998-99 team made its first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament and the 1999-2000 team captured the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship.

SERIES RECORDS...
Baylor vs. Southeastern Louisiana - The two teams have met on the court only once, during the 1974-75 season. Baylor posted an 80-73 victory in that game.
