WACO, Texas - Five hundred tickets remain for Saturday's Baylor-Oklahoma Big 12 women's basketball game, Associate Athletic Director Darryl Lehnus announced Wednesday.
The remaining 500 general admission tickets cost $5, and can be purchased at the Baylor athletic ticket office or by calling 254-710-1000. Seating remains available for Baylor students and staff.
The Jan. 12 game, between No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 12 Baylor, is part of Baylor's "Sellout 2002" program. The first part of the program, the Baylor men's game against Iowa State on Jan. 5, was a sellout.
Saturday's game will be telecast live from the Ferrell Center by Fox Sports Net Southwest at 3 p.m. CST.
The record for the largest Ferrell Center crowd for a women's basketball game was set on Mar. 24, 1998 when 10,057 attended Baylor's WNIT Championship game against Penn State.
Sellout 2002 has been fueled by a grassroots effort of local businesspersons, grouped in committees. The chairman for the women's campaign committee is Debbie Keel of Southwestern Bell in Waco.
The Lady Bears, 12-1 this season and 0-1 in Big 12 play, take on Kansas at the Ferrell Center Wednesday at 7 p.m.
