COMING UP...
After playing four of their first seven Big 12 games on the road, the Lady Bears will play five of their next seven league games in the Ferrell Center. Baylor is 9-1 at home this season and 21-3 in the Ferrell Center under head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson.

Baylor hosts Nebraska on Wed., Jan. 30 and Oklahoma State on Sat., Feb. 2. Both games tip off at 7:00 p.m.

THE LADY BEARS...
Baylor, 16-3, 4-3, jumped up five spots to No. 10 in the Associated Press poll after winning two games last week. Baylor defeated Texas A&M at home then posted a victory of No. 13 Texas in Austin. The Lady Bears started the season ranked No. 14. In addition, they vaulted three spots to No. 11 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.

Nineteen games into the season the Lady Bears are led by all-American candidates seniors Sheila Lambert (Seattle, Wash./Chief Sealth HS) and Danielle Crockrom (Houston/North Shore HS). Lambert leads the way with 19.5 points per game, while Crockrom follows at 16.9. Crockrom leads the team in rebounding at 9.4 an outing. Freshman post Steffanie Blackmon (Dallas/Rowlett HS) follows with 9.5 points and 5.3 rebounds a game while senior post Brooke McCormack (Melbourne, Australia) checks in at 4.9 and sophomore Chanelle Fox (Houston/Westfield HS) hauls down 4.8.

BAYLOR'S RPI...
In the most recent RPI rankings, Baylor is among the top programs. In Jeff Sagarin's ratings the Lady Bears are No. 16, the CBN's lists them at No. 26 and WBCA's shows Baylor at No.27.

THE OPPOSITION...
Nebraska
The Nebraska Cornhuskers come into the game having lost five of their last seven games. They are 12-8 overall and 2-5 in league play. In Big 12 play they have lost to Texas (61-54), Iowa State (88-54 & 82-71), Kansas State (85-71) and Missouri (67-41). They were victorious over Texas A&M (77-73) and Kansas (73-59).

Junior guard Keasha Cannon leads the team in both scoring and rebounding with 12.6 points and 7.8 rebounds a game. Katie Robinette, a 6-2 freshman forward, is second on the team in both categories with 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds a contest.

THE COACHES...
Baylor's Kim Mulkey-Robertson is in her second year as a head coach after guiding the Lady Bears to a 21-9 record and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament in her inaugural season. The Lady Bears enjoyed tremendous improvement last season over Baylor's 7-20 record of 1999-2000. Her career record is 37-12 (.765).

Nebraska is coached by Paul Sanderford. He is in his fifth season as the Huskers' head coach. Sanderford is 86-61 (.585) in his five seasons at Nebraska and is 451-181(.714) in 20 years as a head coach.
