COMING UP...
Baylor travels to Austin to take on the league-leading Texas Longhorns. No. 15 (AP) Baylor brings a 15-3 season record and 3-3 Big 12 mark into the contest while Texas, currently ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll, is 14-3 overall and 6-1 in conference action. The Longhorns are 9-1 this season in the Erwin Center and the Lady Bears are 6-2 away from the Ferrell Center.

THE LADY BEARS...
Baylor, 15-3, 3-3, slipped two spots to No. 15 in the Associated Press poll after losing on the road to No. 15 Texas Tech and defeating Missouri in Columbia. The Lady Bears started the season ranked No. 14. In addition, they dropped to No. 14 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.

Eighteen games into the season the Lady Bears are led by all-American candidates seniors Sheila Lambert (Seattle, Wash./Chief Sealth HS) and Danielle Crockrom (Houston/North Shore HS). Lambert leads the way with 19.1 points per game, while Crockrom follows at 16.9. Crockrom leads the team in rebounding at 9.6 an outing. Freshman post Steffanie Blackmon (Dallas/Rowlett HS) follows with 9.2 points and 5.4 rebounds a game while senior post Brooke McCormack (Melbourne, Australia) checks in at 4.9 a game.

THE OPPOSITION...
#13/12 Texas
The Texas Longhorns come into the game with a league-leading (tied with Kansas State) 6-1 Big 12 record and are 14-3 on the season. The Longhorns are 9-1 at home this season and a perfect 3-0 at home in Big 12 games. They have posted league wins over Nebraska (61-54), Colorado (70-68), Iowa State (66-65), Texas Tech (87-83 ot) and Missouri (73-51). Their lone league loss came at Oklahoma 89-69.

Freshman forward Heather Schreiber leads the team in scoring with 14.5 points a game. Right behind Schreiber is sophomore forward Stacy Stephens' 14.4 points and team-leading 8.9 rebounds a game. Tracy Cook, a senior forward, completes double-figure scoring for the Longhorns with 11.6 a game. Schreiber is second on the squad in rebounding at 5.9 a game and Cook ranks third with 5.7.

THE COACHES...
Baylor's Kim Mulkey-Robertson is in her second year as a head coach after guiding the Lady Bears to a 21-9 record and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament in her inaugural season. The Lady Bears enjoyed tremendous improvement last season over Baylor's 7-20 record of 1999-2000. Her career record is 36-12 (.750).

Texas is coached by Baylor grad Jody Conradt. She is in her 26th season as the Longhorns' head coach. Conradt is 663-189 (.859) in her 26 seasons at Texas and is 780-251(.757) in 33 years as a head coach.
