Waco - The Baylor Lady Bears continue to inch their way up both major polls. In rankings that came out on Monday, they are now ranked No. 7 in the Associated Press (AP) Poll and No. 8 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.
Baylor, currently 12-0 on the year, started off the season ranked No. 14 in AP and was No. 8 last week. In the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll the Lady Bears started the year at No. 16 and have moved up to No. 8 this week.
These are the highest rankings ever for the Lady Bear basketball program.
For the second straight season the Lady Bears breezed through their non-conference schedule undefeated. They were 11-0 last season and 12-0 this season. Baylor has won 25 straight regular season non-conference games and 15 consecutive regular season non-conference games at home.
