Having postponed and finally cancelled its Sept. 15th road game at Minnesota, Baylor has replaced the Gophers on its schedule by adding a home football game against Southern Illinois for Nov. 24th. The kickoff time will be set at a later date.
"It was important for us to play 11 games," Head Coach Kevin Steele said. "An added benefit of this scenario is that we picked up an extra home game. This will give the Baylor fans another opportunity to see our team play this year at Floyd Casey Stadium."
Baylor and Minnesota were unable to work out a suitable makeup date. With games scheduled for the next nine Saturdays and the Big 12 championship game remaining on Dec. 1st, Nov. 24th became the Bears' lone available open date. Minnesota has a Big 10 Conference game against Wisconsin on that Saturday.
