WACO, Texas - Baylor head soccer coach Nick Cowell announced the team's 2001 fall schedule Monday.
The Bears will open 2001 by hosting Arizona State at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field. The Sun Devils are one of six teams on Baylor's 2001 schedule to have made the 2000 NCAA Tournament. Four of those six are part of the Bears' non-conference schedule: Arizona State, Furman, San Diego and Southwest Missouri State.
Baylor begins the 2001 Big 12 Conference season against defending conference champion Nebraska Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb. The Huskers finished 2000 ranked second in the nation by Soccer Buzz magazine.
As part of the team's spring 2001 schedule, the Bears will host the Mexico Women's National Team on April 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
