Baylor Soccer Signs One More

WACO, Texas - Baylor head soccer coach Nick Cowell announced the signing of one additional player Wednesday as Kristin Ruef of Plano, Texas, signed with the Bears.

Ruef was the second-leading scorer on her team at Plano East Senior High School. A forward, she played three years of varsity soccer and is another signee from the 2000 Baylor Soccer Camp. Ruef was an all-district honorable mention award winner. She plays for the Texas Image '83 Soccer Club and was a member of the North Texas ODP State team as well as a member of the Region III Regional Pool. In addition to soccer, she ran varsity cross country, where she was all-district second team. She has refereed Youth Soccer Association games for eight years.

Ruef is the eighth Baylor soccer signee. Also set to join the team this fall are Hilary Aylesworth of Phoenix, Tiffany Boshers of Algonquin, Ill., Megan Briscoe of Poway, Calif., Sarah Dearing of Cypress, Texas, Melanie Pannell of San Marcos, Texas, Ginny Rosario-Tull of Mansfield, Texas, and Lori Viggiano of Plano, Texas.
