Waco, Texas - Senior guard Sheila Lambert led all scorers with 18 points and dished out nine assists in Baylor's 85-52 exhibition victory over the Houston Jaguars in the Ferrell Center on Thursday.

Lambert was followed by Danielle Crockrom's 10 points. Freshman post Steffanie Blackmon was impressive in her collegiate debut scoring nine points and hauling down nine rebounds in 16 minutes of play. Crockrom pulled in seven rebounds and another freshman, Melanie Hamerly, scored six points and snagged six rebounds.

The Lady Bears took a 47-32 halftime lead into the locker room and then limited the Jaguars to just 20 second half points to cruise to a 33 point victory. Baylor dominated the boards, outrebounding the Jaguars 52-30.

"We played a lot of people tonight, in fact everyone got in the game and that was our objective," said Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson. "It was good for our freshmen to get as much floor time as they did."

"We were excited to be back on the court for games," said Lambert. "We're tired of beating up on each other. We still have a lot of work to do in practice, that's what these games are for though, to show us what we need to work on."

The Lady Bears return to the court on Monday, Nov. 12 when they host Aabyhoej, a team from Arhus, Denmark that won the 2001 Danish National Championship.
