WACO, Texas (AP) - Lawrence Roberts scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, leading Baylor in an 81-55 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

Roberts scored 12 second-half points, and the Bears (3-0) had a 58-38 margin with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Greg Davis added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bears.

Poor shooting hampered Sacred Heart (1-1) with the Pioneers hitting only 31 percent from the field.

Tre Samuels led Sacred Heart with 15 points.

The Bears pulled in front of the Pioneers midway through the first half, 25-13, with a 7-0 run.

Baylor closed the final 2:30 of the first half on a 10-0 run and took a 39-22 lead at halftime. Chad Elsey scored eight of the 10 points, connecting on two 3-pointers in the final minute. Elsey finished the game with 16 points, including 3-of-6 3-point baskets.

Switching between man-to-man and trap defenses, the Bears forced 20 turnovers and scored 23 points off Sacred Heart's miscues.
