WACO, Texas (AP) - Darrent Williams returned interceptions 20 and 85 yards for touchdowns as Oklahoma State beat Baylor 38-22 Saturday, handing the Bears their 29th straight Big 12 loss.
The Cowboys (3-7, 1-6 Big 12), who had just six interceptions their first nine games, also scored touchdowns after Kirk Milligan intercepted two passes.
It was the first Big 12 victory for Oklahoma State coach Les Miles, who was hired after last season. Baylor (2-8, 0-8), which outgained the Cowboys 517 yards to 323, still hasn't won a conference game under third-year coach Kevin Steele.
Josh Fields, like Williams a freshman, was 10-of-18 passing for 161 yards and two touchdowns for the Cowboys after replacing injured starting quarterback Aso Pogi late in the first quarter.
Both of Williams' interceptions came on passes intended for Reggie Newhouse, Baylor's top receiver.
Newhouse was juggling a pass on the opening drive of the game when Williams took the ball away and streaked 20 yards for a 7-0 lead.
When Newhouse later slipped down while making a cut, Williams stepped in front of Greg Cicero's pass and ran untouched down the sideline. That gave Oklahoma State its 24-7 halftime lead.
Baylor, which had tied it at 7 on Cicero's 1-yard keeper right after the first interception, was driving again when Milligan intercepted a pass that sailed over Andra Fuller's head inside the 20.
Pogi reaggravated a left leg injury when he was hit from behind by two Baylor defenders three plays later. Fields took over and threw a 24-yard TD pass to Rashaun Woods to complete the 10-play, 65-yard drive.
Fields threw a 39-yard TD pass to John Lewis late in the third quarter for the last Oklahoma State score. Lewis had seven catches for 131 yards.
Milligan got his second interception midway through the third quarter on a pass thrown by Davon Vinson, Cicero's replacement. The Cowboys needed just five plays, including a 34-yard pass from Fields to Lewis, before Tatum Bell ran for a 6-yard TD.
Aaron Karas, the third Baylor quarterback, had TD passes of 18 yards to John Martin and 26 yards to Robert Quiroga in a two-minute span of the fourth quarter. The second TD came right after Derrick Cash intercepted a pass thrown by Fields.
Karas was 14-of-22 for 195 yards after coming on late in the third quarter. Cicero completed 8 of 12 passes for 85 yards with three interceptions.
Baylor's last Big 12 win was 31-24 over Kansas on Oct. 10, 1998. The Bears, who finish their season next Saturday against Division I-AA Southern Illinois, are 3-45 in conference games and have finished last in the South Division all six seasons since the league was formed.
