Rankings Continue to Roll in For Lady Bears

Waco - Street & Smith's College Basketball has ranked the Baylor Lady Bears No. 21 in their 2001-2002 predictions. In addition, senior forward/post Danielle Crockrom was named to their 2001-2002 All-America team.

Last season first-year head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson led the Lady Bears to a 21-9 record, their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and a final national ranking of No. 23. The Lady Bears return one of the most potent scoring tandems in the nation off that squad in Lambert and Crockrom. Lambert ranked No. 8 in scoring nationally with 22.1 points a game which led the Big 12 while Crockrom scored 21.2 a game (14th nationally) . Crockrom, a Houston native, also led the Big 12 in rebounding at 11.6 a game and was fifth nationally. Crockrom set Big 12 records for most rebounds in a season (347) and most double-doubles in a season with 19.

The Lady Bears will participate in their first practice on Sat., Oct. 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Ferrell Center.
