No. 25 Bears Take OT Win in Denver

DENVER, Colo. - The No. 25 Baylor Bears went to overtime and defeated the University of Denver, 3-2 in Colorado Friday.
The Pioneers scored first in the 28th minute of play, but sophomore midfielder Juli Goin evened the score with a Baylor goal in the 48th minute. Sophomore defender Rachel Kacsmaryk gave the Bears an advantage in the 82nd minute with a goal assisted by Gina Castellano.
Denver forced overtime play with a goal in the 86th minute. The Bears finished it off in the 102nd minute when senior midfielder Nikki Hales took a pass from Castellano and put in the game-winning goal.
Baylor keeper Dawn Greathouse had one save on the night, while the Pioneers racked up three. The Bears outshot Denver 13 to six.
The Bears move to 12-5 on the season, while Denver fell to 6-8-1 after suffering their first home loss of the season. Baylor returns to Big XII action Sunday against Colorado in Boulder. Game time is noon.
