Waco, Texas - Baylor Head Football Coach Kevin Steele announced Monday that starting weakside linebacker Anthony Simmons will not play in the Bears' next two games for disciplinary reasons.
Simmons, currently tied for second on the team with 42 tackles, did not travel to Lubbock last weekend for Baylor's game against Texas Tech and will also be held out of the next two contests against Texas A&M and Nebraska.
The Bears (2-3, 0-2 Big 12) host Texas A&M Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The game will be televised on a regional syndication basis.
