Tyler Wright

Tyler Wright joined Baylor Athletics in September 2025 as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Governance & Regulatory Affairs.
Wright oversees the day-to-day operations of the Governance & Regulatory Affairs unit and serves as the primary liaison for the Baylor Football program.
Wright previously was Associate AD at the University of Pittsburgh (2022-25) and was promoted in 2025 to Associate AD where he oversaw day-to-day operations of the compliance office. He also served as the Assistant AD at Texas Tech University (2018-22) where he was the primary liaison to the TTU football program and secondary compliance contact for men's basketball.
Wright was also an Assistant AD at Abilene Christian University (2016-17) and oversaw the compliance unit and served as sport administrator for the Wildcats’ women's soccer program. While in Abilene, he also assisted with the DII to DI FCS transition.
Previous stops included Compliance Coordinator at Florida Atlantic University (2015-16), Compliance Graduate Assistant at UTEP (2014-15) and Compliance Intern at the University of Kansas (2013).
Wright earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 2013 and his master’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2015.
He has been an involved member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) since 2014, currently serves on its board, and chairs its communications committee. In 2024, he was honored by NAAC with their inaugural “Emerging Leader Award,” recognizing his contributions in his first decade in the athletics compliance field.
Wright is originally from Lenexa, Kansas and is married to Maggie. The couple has a daughter, Addison.
