Tim Johnson

Tim Johnson joined the Baylor Football family in January 2021. He serves as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics Performance for Football as of January 2023.
 
Johnson came to Waco following a three-year stint at LSU as an assistant strength and conditioning coach under LSU’s long-time Assistant AD for Strength and Conditioning Tommy Moffitt and alongside Baylor Football’s Director of Athletics Performance Vic Viloria. While with the Tigers, he worked with football, women’s soccer, beach volleyball and swimming. 
 
Prior to his full-time appointment with the Tigers, Johnson spent two years as a strength and conditioning intern at LSU. In that role, he worked with multiple sports including football and men’s basketball. 
 
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, health and physical education from LSU in 2017. Johnson was a member of the LSU Powerlifting team where he won a team and individual national championship. 
 
Additionally, Johnson holds a CSCS Certification through the NSCA as well as his Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certification through USA Weightlifting.
