Jeff Hanel serves Baylor Athletics as the Associate AD for Branding & Creative Services.
Hanel re-joined BU in June 2025 after working for the Bears early in his career. In his current role, Hanel oversees BaylorVision, Baylor+, Football Creative and All-Sport Creative.
From December 2024 to April 2025, Hanel worked for the Houston Astros as the Director for Creative & Content. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Athletics Director for Video Production at the University of Texas from August 2021 to December 2024.
He went to Austin after serving Auburn University as the Director of Post-Production from July 2014 to August 2021.
His first stint at Baylor was as the Associate Director of Athletic Video Productions & Creative Lead.
The Dayton, Texas, native attended Edith Cowan University - Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he earned his Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music) in 2004.
Hanel is married to Amber Hanel and the couple have two children, Jasmine and Eli. The family has a dog named Sammy Joe and three cats, Jinx, Jupiter and Zoe.
