Dave Snyder joined the Baylor staff in July 2017 and spent his first two years at Baylor as director of sports medicine working specifically with the football program. He is entering his sixth year with the men’s basketball program in 2024-25, where he serves as assistant AD for athletic medicine.
Snyder moved to Baylor after serving as assistant athletics director for sports medicine and head football athletic trainer at Tennessee-Chattanooga from 2012-17.
Prior to his arrival at UTC, Snyder worked as the assistant football athletic trainer for the University of Kansas from 2006-12. During his tenure, the Jayhawks won the 2007 Orange Bowl and the 2008 InSight Bowl.
He earned a master’s degree from The Citadel in 2005, where he was a resident assistant with the football team. Snyder completed internships with the Indianapolis Colts (2002) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005).
A native of Ocilla, Ga., Snyder is a certified Athletic Trainer by the NATABOC and holds a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the NASM.
He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2003, where he worked as a student athletic trainer with the football, baseball and volleyball teams and was on the sidelines working with the Bulldogs at the 2001 Music City Bowl.
Snyder is married to the former Erin Daily. The couple has three children, Jack, Hollis and Chandler.
