Colin Pirtle joined the Baylor Athletics Communications staff in May 2022 after spending four years as an intern in the office.
Pirtle serves as the sports information director for the three-time national champion women’s basketball program as well as the soccer and women’s tennis teams.
He has also worked with track & field and cross country for three years, men's tennis for two years and football for one year in Waco.
During his four years as an intern, Pirtle spent three years as the primary student contact for the men's and women's tennis programs, hosting two NCAA tournaments and one Big 12 Championship. In November of his senior year, Pirtle transitioned into the interim role as the primary contact for cross country and track & field.
A native of Skellytown, Texas, Pirtle graduated from Baylor in May 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. While in undergrad, he also participated in Student Foundation, including a stint on the steering committee during his senior year, and spent his summers with the Office of New Student Programs. Pirtle's older sister, Krista, also works for Baylor Athletics in the Bear Foundation.
