Steele’s duties include managing the Baylor football staff recruiting board, building and maintaining relationships with high school and junior college coaches across the country, assisting the coaching staff with on the road recruiting logistics and compliance related recruiting matters, day-to-day operations, gameday preparation, overseeing summer mini-camp registration and assisting with on-campus recruiting. He also serves as the program’s NFL liaison.
Steele graduated with a master’s degree in sport management from Baylor in 2010 and spent the 2010 season as a defensive intern for the football program. In that role his responsibilities included defensive self-scout and opponent film breakdown.
He was a multi-sport standout at Hamlin (Texas) High School and earned all-state honors in both football and baseball.
