There have been many phone calls made, miles driven, plane flights caught, nights spent in hotels and ballgames attended to put together this class of outstanding young men. It has always been important for us to recruit players that fit our program athletically, academically, socially and spiritually. I am very proud of the excellent work our staff put in to assembling this class. Coaches Zach Dillon, Jim Blair and Sean Snedeker were relentless in their evaluation and pursuit of our type of players, and I thank them for their great work."

The experience they bring to the table will prove invaluable for us in the Big 12 Conference. The incoming freshmen arms all have very high ceilings and have proven to be very competitive on the national level. We believe that each of them can compete for us right away."
On the position players…
"I am very excited about the size, speed and athleticism of our incoming position players. Each of these guys have excelled on the field in both high school and summer league baseball. They have played championship-level baseball on the biggest and brightest stages available. Each of them possesses the skill level, work ethic and strong desire to compete and win that we look for in the players we bring in to our program. These guys are made of the right stuff and are leaders among their peers. While this group is small in numbers, I believe these four guys will make a huge impact and pack quite a punch in our lineup over the next several seasons."
