Soccer Dancing in NCAA Tournament, Hosting First Round at Betty Lou Mays Field

Bears open Road to the College Cup on their home pitch against Texas State
INDIANAPOLIS – Baylor soccer received its seventh bid in program history to the NCAA Division I Soccer Championship, the selection committee announced Monday afternoon.
The first round match will be held at Betty Lou Mays Field, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. CT.
Beginning the championship tournament against Texas State, Baylor is hosting an NCAA tournament game for the eighth time. The Bears hold a 5-2 record in previous home tournament matches, having hosted to the program-best second and third rounds in 2018.
This will be the second match against Texas State this season after the Bears won the earlier contest on the road, 4-1. Tyler Isgirg scored her fourth career brace in San Marcos before a pair of Bobcat own goals sealed the victory for the Bears.
The Bears are 9-6 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. Their last appearance was a 3-1 run to the quarterfinal round in 2018, beating Abilene Christian, Vanderbilt and Virginia in Waco before falling on the road to Georgetown.
