
Trigg Added to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

WACO, Texas -- Baylor senior tight end Michael Trigg, has been added to the 2025 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, presented annually to the nation's best pass catcher and coordinated by The Tallahassee Quarter Club Foundation, it was announced on Monday morning.
Trigg, a native of Tampa, Fla., is one of four players added to the 2025 season watch list for the award. A 6-foot-4, 240-pounder, Trigg ranks tied for the nation's lead among tight ends with six TDs, while ranking sixth in receptions and second in receiving yards.
He shattered Baylor's program standards for career (1,002) and season (607) receiving yards by a tight end, and ranks fourth in career receptions (70) and second in career TDs (nine) by a tight end, while also checking in second in season catches.
Trigg has started all nine games in 2025 and boasts a career game in a win over Kansas State that featured eight grabs for 155 yards. He had two TDs vs. Arizona State, and a seven-catch, 99-yard game in the season lid-lifter vs. Auburn.
He is a member of the eight-man John Mackey Award semifinalists grouping, which is presented to the NCAA's best tight end.
Baylor (5-4, 3-3 Big 12 Conference) faces off with No. 13/15/15 Utah (7-2, 4-2 Big 12) on Saturday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2 and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
