
MT Heads to ITA All-American Championships

Bears look to build off last weekend’s success in Malibu and Lafayette
WACO, Texas – Baylor men's tennis will be in full force at the ITA All-American Championships from Oct. 5-13 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The pre-qualifying draw will run from Oct. 5-6 while the qualifying draw will be on Oct. 7-8. The main draw will open from Oct. 9-13.
Juniors Matias Soto and Sven Lah and sophomore Adrian Boitan will start in the singles main draw while seniors Constantin Frantzen and Ryan Dickerson and freshmen Christopher Frantzen and Rahul Dhokia will compete in pre-qualifying action.
In addition to vying for the All-American national title, players will be competing to secure a berth into the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which takes place November 6-10, in Indian Wells, Calif.
Singles quarterfinalists, consolation singles champion and finalist, along with doubles semifinalists and consolation doubles champion and finalist advance to the end of fall national championship.

Lah leads the Bears with a 3-1 fall singles record while Christopher Frantzen is 3-3, Soto is 1-1 and Constantin Frantzen is 2-4.
In doubles action, Soto will pair up with Constantin Frantzen while Lah and Dickerson will be partners for the qualifying draw. Both doubles duos will compete for the first time together this season.
Last season, Lah and alum Jimmy Bendeck advanced through the qualifying draw to win the All-American doubles title.
