TOP QUOTE #1
Head coach Ryan McGuyre
On the opening set…
"(The first set) was a combination of offense and defense working together. We played really good defense. Iowa State has mixing some things up the last couple of matches. I felt like we were one step ahead and we made the plays. We had shorter rallies in the first set. The defense made the offense look good, and the offense put a little pressure on (Iowa State)."
TOP QUOTE #2
Head coach Ryan McGuyre
On the other sets…
"Our offense slowed down in the second set. The defense was still really strong. We scored points when we wanted to do but not when we needed to. In the third set, both things disappeared on us. We added some errors in the third and fourth set to keep (Iowa State) in it. In the first few sets, everyone was producing, and then we put it together piece by piece after that."
