Sept. 29, 2017 WACO, Texas -- After dropping its first Big 12 match on Wednesday, Baylor volleyball (12-4, 2-1 Big 12) looks for its third-straight win over Oklahoma (3-12, 0-2) Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
Baylor swept the series last season, which included a four-set victory at home and a thrilling five-set win in Norman. BU also looks for its eighth consecutive win in Waco.
The team will host Camp Reunion Day which includes a postmatch youth clinic hosted by the Bears.

BAYLOR RECENTLY
- On Wednesday, the Bears were swept for the first time this season at No. 5 Texas. Katie Staiger led all players with 12 kills, and Hannah Lockin recorded her sixth double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs.
- Last Saturday, the Bears stormed into Ft. Worth and swept TCU to improve to 2-0 in Big 12 play.
- The 3-0 win was the first road win over the Horned Frogs since Nov. 14, 2012 and first win in Ft. Worth under head coach Ryan McGuyre.
- Katie Staiger led all players with her 30th career double-double and 10th of the season with 17 kills and 10 digs in the win.
TEAM NOTABLES
- The Bears' seven-match winning streak was snapped with a loss to No. 5 Texas on Wednesday. The streak began with a win over then-No. 10 BYU on Sept. 9 in Hawai'i. BU had a 10-match winning streak last season in the month of September.
- The Bears have hit .300 or better in four of the last five matches.
- Katie Staiger has hit .400 or better in four of the last six matches, most recently hitting .412 at TCU.
- The Bears have run off seven straight wins at home since dropping their season opener against then-No. 15 Florida State.
- Baylor has only trailed in team kills twice this season (at Hawai'i, at Texas), and has only been outdug once (vs. then-No. 15 Florida State).
BU VS. OU HISTORICALLY
- The Bears look their third-straight win over the Sooners for the first time since the 1999-2001 seasons where BU won six straight matches over Oklahoma.
- Last season, the Bears swept the series for the first time since 2001 and look for their second-straight home win over Oklahoma. BU defeated OU in a five-set thriller in Norman.
- BU snapped an eight-match losing streak to OU when it won in four sets at home last season.
STAIGER, LOCKIN TABBED BIG 12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
- Baylor volleyball's Katie Staiger and Hannah Lockin were named the Big 12's Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
- Baylor has recorded two of the league's honors in the same week for the first time this season and only the third time in program history.
- In the Bears' 2-0 start to conference action last week, Staiger led the conference while averaging 5.29 kills per set and 4.95 points per set. Staiger hit a .413 average for 37 kills in 75 attempts with only six errors while adding one service ace and two block assists.
- Lockin led the Big 12 as a freshman last week with 13.43 assists per set. The Des Moines, Iowa native added 54 assists vs. TTU in Waco and four kills on four attacks in the four-set win.
SCOUTING THE SOONERS
- Oklahoma (3-12, 0-2) comes in Saturday's matchup on a seven-match losing streak, which includes losses to then-No. 7 Washington, then-No. 18 USC and No. 18 Iowa State.
- The Sooners are led by Alyssa Enneking on the outside, averaging 4.07 kills per set and 4.47 points per set which are third-best in the Big 12.
- OU has recorded victories over Northwestern State, Nicholls and USM this season.
- At the setting spot: Audrey Alford and Louisville transfer Morgan Miller lead the Sooners with 8.57 and 4.50 assists per set, respectively.
- The Sooners are looking for their first road victory of the season (currently 0-5).
