WACO, Texas - The 18th-ranked Baylor men's tennis team will play a tripleheader against Prairie View A&M Monday at the Hurd Tennis Center. The trio of matches will begin at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

Baylor recently stepped outside of collegiate action to compete in the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship in La Jolla, Calif. on March 3-6. The Bears boasted a 12-5 record in the three-day event, highlighted by a main draw semifinal appearance by senior Julian Lenz and freshman Jimmy Bendeck.

The Bears (8-4) look to continue success at home after two victories over ranked opponents on Feb. 27 and 28. Baylor recorded wins over No. 17 Memphis and No. 66 Abilene Christian.

Prairie View A&M is 2-13 on the season, recently topping Alcorn State and Alabama A&M in the Southwestern Athletic Conference roundup on Feb. 26 and 27.

Baylor is 6-0 all-time against the Panthers under head coach Matt Knoll, with the last win coming at the beginning of this season. The Bears recorded a 7-0 victory over the Panthers on Jan. 29 at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. Freshman Tommy Podvinski secured the shutout with a three-set win on court five.

Heading into the tripleheader, No. 17 Lenz leads the team in the latest ITA singles rankings, followed by junior Max Tchoutakian at No. 56. Lenz and redshirt freshman Will Little pair up to be the No. 12 doubles tandem in the country.

Lenz leads the team in singles play, holding a 9-1 dual-match record. He looks to move up in Baylor's all-time singles career wins list, currently at No. 9 with 102 wins.

Live results and a live video stream for the match will be available at BaylorBears.com.

Following the tripleheader against the Panthers, Baylor will head to Indian Wells, Calif. to participate in the BNP Paribas Collegiate Challenge by Oracle on March 19-21. The Bears will face three ranked opponents in No. 8 Illinois, No. 14 California and No. 15 USC.
