ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. -- Baylor men's tennis players
Bjoern Petersen and
Max Tchoutakian continued their winning ways at the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invitational Saturday.
The pair of Bears faced two fellow teammates in the singles main semifinals on the third day of competition at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club.
The 54th-ranked Tchoutakian snapped Constantin Frantzen's seven-match win streak with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Petersen bested Will Little, 6-1, 6-1, tot the make the finale.
In doubles, Frantzen and Tchoutakian produced an 8-5 win over Cornell's Colin Sinclair and Daniel Grunberger in the main draw semifinals. Later in the day, the BU duo came up short of a title by falling to UC-Santa Barbara's Nicolas Moreno and Simon Freund, 6-4, 7-6 (11-9), in the final.
